A Pricey Blanket; Harry Potter Actor Dead at 65

Kate Middleton’s Pricey Blanket

Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, are doing what many parents do when they are expecting a new addition. The couple are remodelling their Kensington Palace apartment.

One of the new items they hope to have decorating their new digs could be a blanket named after Kate Middleton’s great-grandmother, Olive Lupton.

Known as the Lupton Blanket the scarlet and white striped throw is made from 100 per cent Shetland wood and costs around RM2,155. The Lupton family crest inspired the blanket, which could be the perfect thing to keep their new addition warm and cosy.

The Yorkshire based mill Hainworth named the blanket after Olive Lupton. Her family owned the William Lupton & Co wool mill that was bought by Hainworth in 1958.

Uncle Vernon Dies

One of Britain’s greatest stage actors, Richard Griffiths, died on Thursday at 65 years old.

The rotund, actor had a larger-than-life personality that could adapt to fit a range of roles from Shakespeare to Harry Potter. Millions of people know him and will remember him as cranky Uncle Vernon, Harry’s “muggle” relative.

Griffiths died Thursday at University Hospital in Coventry from complications following heart surgery.

Griffiths appears on Broadway with Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe who paid him an amazing tribute by saying, “any room he walked into was made twice as funny and twice as clever just by his presence.”

“I am proud to say I knew him,” Radcliffe said.
