Expensive Holidays; Man Utd Take the Title

Time to Kill? Take a RM4.5 Million Holiday

What would you do with RM4.5 million? Invest in a business? Buy a luxury home and never work again? Donate it to charity? Or just go on what has been dubbed the most expensive holiday in the world?

That’s what an unnamed Chinese buyer has agreed to do after responding to an advert for a tour package from VeryFirstTo.com. When the travel operator launched the holiday last month even they admitted they didn’t expect it to sell, but they already have one taker for the two-year trip.

And the tourist in question will have a busy schedule, taking in every single one of the planet’s 962 Unesco world heritage sites (that means more than one site every single day for the two years), flying business class and staying in the world’s most luxurious hotels.

“When we launched it, we didn’t know if it would sell. Not all of our products do,” says company founder Marcel Knobil.

And although the phone wasn’t exactly ringing off the hook, he says they already have another tentative booking along with a number of serious enquiries.

But in case you find the idea a bit too much, don’t worry – the package comes with a RM 23,000 donation to Unesco.

Evra Taunts Suarez as Manchester United Take the Title

Even as Manchester United romped home to their inevitable 20th English Premier League title after a 3-0 victory over Aston Villa, people were still reeling from Luis Suarez’ shocking biting of Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic’s arm last weekend.

Few more so than United’s Patrice Evra who Suarez was found guilty of racially abusing in 2011, resulting in an eight match ban and a RM 188,000 fine.

So when one enterprising fan threw a fake arm onto the pitch in celebration, Evra gladly posed for photos of him pretending to sink his teeth in.

Suarez has been charged with violent conduct after biting Ivanovic during Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Chelsea.

The Manchester squad were clearly in a buoyant mood after Robin van Persie scored a first-half hat-trick, wrapping up the season for the champions.

“You can go on and on about losing the title last season. I think we have been second maybe five or six times in my time,” said delighted manager Alex Ferguson after the match.

“We can think back to the last game at West Ham in 1995. How we did not win was unbelievable. Last year, it was the last game of the season. At the end of the day, our consistency for the last 20 years has been unbelievable.”
