Katy Perry Isn’t Popular at Home; Dannii Minogue’s Fashion Faux Pas

Katy Perry’s Father is Not a Fan

Typically parents will try to be supportive of their children, unless of course their children do unspeakable things. But surely Katy Perry’s singing career isn’t that awful?

Her father seems to think so after claiming this week that he breaks down in tears when he sees the singer perform on stage. It would appear that his main gripe is how much devotion she inspires among her fans who, he says, should be reserving that love for faith instead.

At recent sermons, Keith Perry has taken to begging his congregation to “pray for Katy” as he shows a video clip describing her as a “devil child” who needs “healing”.

“I was at a concert of Katy’s where there were 20,000. I’m watching this generation and they were going at it. It almost looked like church,” he said.

“I stood there and wept and kept on weeping and weeping. They’re loving and worshipping the wrong thing.”

Dannii Minogue Struggles to Keep Afloat

Proving that you can’t run a successful business just because you are famous, Dannii Minogue this week looks like she will have to call time on her side-line in fashion.

The singer set up her own fashion label called Project D with business partner Tabitha Somerset Webb in 2010. However, the two are said to have been at odds over the direction of the brand and its flagging sales.

This week it was rumoured that Webb had abandoned the project all together; cutting her losses after Minogue’s company started haemorrhaging money.

A spokesman for Aussie Dannii said: “Dannii and Tabitha won’t be collaborating on any Project D collections past 2013.

“However, Dannii still has big plans to be involved in the fashion and style industry, and is considering a number of options for the Project D brand moving forward.”
