Gable Roof

This is the most common type of roof design we see everywhere, even in our country. It is the common downside V-shaped roof design. We can see this type of roof design almost in every terrace double-story house. This is because this type of design has its own advantages which are the shape itself will allow water or rain to shed itself easily to avoid any leaks from happening. Besides that, this design is so easy to make and that is why it is not expensive compared to other types of roofs.

Gambrel Roof

If you’ve been to a barn or a farm, you will see this type of roof in that area. This roof is built with 2 different slopes and one side is a little high compared to the other side. At first sight, you can see that it is similar to the gable roof but the difference is that this roof has a slightly rounded tip on top of roof. The downside for this roof is that it is not built to endure any heavy weather like a snowstorm or a rainstorm and it also requires high maintenance to keep the roof in good shape.

Flat Roof

Just like its name, this roof is built to be flat. You can commonly see this type of roof on buildings or retail buildings. This is because this type of roof is the most suitable for retail buildings due to its functionality. The flat roof can be used as an extra space to make a rooftop garden, or they can install a solar system machine on the roof. However, due to its design, this roof doesn’t shed water easily, and not keeping maintenance on them can cause leaks or any damage.

Shed Roof

Nowadays, it is typical for us to see this type of roof on newly developed houses. This roof is a single, sloping panel type of roof. You can see that one side of the roof is slightly higher than the other side. The advantages of this type of design are that it requires minimal raw material to build this roof and it doesn’t require someone with high skills to build this roof. It is also an aesthetically looking roof for modern design houses.
