Lawsuits for Selena Gomez and Max Clifford

Selena Gomez Doesn’t Smell Right

Young American actress Selena Gomez is facing some heat this week after she was hit with a lawsuit calling for millions in damages.

According to the papers, a perfume company called Adrenalina Inc. made a deal with Gomez in which the company would develop a series of products using her name to help market the brand.

Adrenalina claims it spent millions of dollars on development and marketing but that Gomez failed to keep her end of the bargain, which included wearing the perfume and showing up for promotional events.

The company is facing financial difficulties and is now claiming not only for damages but for a court order preventing Gomez from pulling out of the deal.

But a statement from the actress’s lawyer rubbishes the suit.

“Any claim that Selena did not meet her promotional obligations is ridiculous. Selena will vigorously defend this lawsuit and will soon bring her own lawsuit against Adrenalina for millions in damages.”

Max Clifford Charged with 11 Cases of Assault

For years Max Clifford, the PR guru to the stars, has been burying their dirt in every way he knows how. But who, The Choice wonders, will he get to bury his own?

This week he was charged with 11 cases of indecent assault and will face court next month amid accusations he molested seven girls aged 14 to 19.

“The allegations in respect of which I have been charged are completely false and I’ve made this clear to the police in many hours of interviews,” he told the press.

“Nevertheless a decision has been taken to charge me with 11 offences, the most recent of which is 28 years ago and the oldest 47 years ago.”

Music executive Simon Cowell, a close friend of Clifford’s, was one of the first to offer his support to the PR expert, who has represented everyone from OJ Simpson during his murder trial to Rebecca Loos after claims of her affair with David Beckham.
